Tuesday afternoon found my dad, brother, son, and I exploring nearby Lake Aubrey. We've had a couple of nice, breezy days this week. Beautiful even, considering it is mid-December. I was surprised how large the lake turned out to me, but the coolest discovery was the spillway at the west end of the lake. A large creek feeds and flows out of the lake, and apparently the increased pressure from the dam was used for mining in the early 1900's. An interesting find.
This area is quite nice with fresh breeze and pure atmosphere away from the hectic daily life. I used to visit there with my friends. First time I went there before boston to dc bus tours. That say we did fishing, swimming and boating over there. Summer is the best time to visit this lake because during this season, you can see the actual view of this lake.
