South Carolina

Got back last night from a few days spent on the coast in SC. It was a good time. Not much of a relaxing vacation, but it was certainly nice to spend time with the family, and the kids had a blast. I may put up some more pictures later, but had to share one of the trip highlights.

This guy had taken up residence in a pond outside the hotel, and trying to locate him at his different basking spots every time we came or went was a bit of excitement for everyone. He wasn't huge - maybe 5 - 6 feet in length, but he certainly got a lot of attention from hotel guests.

Also, this pic was in the island's guidebook. It's a photo of a painting, and the boy's yoyo reel caught my eye.
