Not the Usual Fare - Calhoun Rock Garden

On Memorial Day, we visited this incredible rock garden that is located in the virtual middle of nowhere. It's out on Highway 53 west of Calhoun, Georgia, tucked behind a church. It's all by itself and unless you were on the hunt for it, you would never even know it's there. I won't say much about it because the pictures speak for themselves, but it really is an impressive effort and the creative detail is amazing.

Behind the garden, there is also a bit of hiking that leads to a small scenic creek. Pretty, quiet spot there that would be a good place to put up a hammock and hang out for a bit. The boys enjoyed it, and except for a slip & fall by the wife on a slick rock, a great afternoon enjoying one of the more out-of-the-way spots in north Georgia.
