Natural Burlap

Been working on a couple more of these that I put the finishing touches on the other day, this time with light natural colored burlap and fiberglass resin instead of straight epoxy. Quite similar final look and feel. The fiberglass finishes to a slightly smoother texture and seemed to do a better job penetrating the material fibers due to it's thinner consistency.

    Well done. How's the "grippiness" with the resin as opposed to the epoxy?

      Let's see, I am liking the fb resin more than epoxy. It dries with a more consistent hardness than the epoxy, has the same feel/grip texture, takes a better shine, and is more UV resistant. Two reservations though - it appears that epoxy is slightly stronger and the set time on fiberglass is much shorter, so I have to work quicker.
