Spent a few hours on the lake last night fishing with a friend from work. We have had the most incredible August here - cool and breezy almost every day. It feels like an early fall, and I'm taking advantage of it!
Not the greatest shot with my phone, but there is a heron in the picture above. It let us float within about 20 yards before it took off with a loud series of squawks.
